In Loving Memory of Kenneth Lawrence Chapman
Kenneth Lawrence Chapman, a devoted Christian, cherished husband and father, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2024, at the age of 76.
Kenneth found his greatest joy in being a father to Ye-chan and Sara. His patient guidance, unwavering support, and gentle love profoundly shaped their lives. His devotion to his family was further exemplified by his remarkable act of selflessness: he donated one of his kidneys to his wife, Myung-Sun, showcasing his boundless generosity and deep love.
Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife, Myung-Sun Chapman; his devoted children, Ye-chan Chapman and Sara (Christopher) Bibbee; his cherished grandchild, Mark Bibbee; his sister, Dorothy Seitz; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Kenneth’s life will be held Thursday, September 19th, 2024, at 12:00 pm (noon) at Roberts Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. We will have a gathering to eat after the service at Martinsburg Community Center. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a man whose gentle heart, creative spirit, and steadfast faith left an enduring mark on all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Delaware County Dog Shelter, causes that were close to Kenneth’s heart.
Kenneth Lawrence Chapman will be deeply missed. His memory will live on through the stories he wrote, the love he shared, and the quiet yet profound impact he made on everyone he touched.
