Kenneth H. "Ken" Steiner, 78, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Monday, October 05, 2015, at home surrounded by his loving family, after a long, courageous battle with corticobasil degeneration (CBD).
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Memorial services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Dalton Baptist Church with Pastor Dave Greegor officiating. A private burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to BBN PO Box 7300, Charlotte, NC 28241 or LifeCare Hospice 1900 Akron Road, Wooster, OH 44691.
Kenneth was born October 05, 1937, near Kidron to Homer and Bertha {Zuercher} Steiner.
He attended Dalton High School.
Ken married Mae Eberly on May 9, 1959.
He worked at Buckeye Feed Mills for 34 years. Ken was a member of the Dalton Baptist Church. He liked to read his Bible, work on the farm, and sing in the church choir. Ken loved to spend the days with his family and friends.
Kenneth will be deeply missed by his wife Mae of 56 years; children Mark (Betty) Steiner of Apple Creek, Mary Lou (Dan) Moeller of Wooster, and Melody (Stephen) Collins of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren Michael, Peter, and Philip Moeller, Sarah (David) Cheramie, Joshua, Grace, Rachel, and Johnathan Steiner, Nathaniel, Aria, Rebecca, and Celeste Collins; great-grandson Andrew Cheramie; brothers Marion (Ellen), Roy, and Clayton (Ruth) Steiner; sister Norma (Jim) Eberly; sisters-in-law Mable Steiner and Vera Miller; brother-in-law Calvin Miller; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Arlene (Irvin) Nussbaum, Viola (Stanley) Kuhns, Dorothy Miller, Clair, Elno, Lee, George, and sister-in-law Vesta Steiner. Mae and the family would like to thank all who prayed for Ken, spent time with him, and helped care for him during his declining years. Mae would like to thank her children, grandchildren, and LifeCare Hospice who lovingly helped care for Ken.
