Kenneth Ward

Kenneth R. Ward, Wooster, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on October 25, 2019.

Ken was born September 20, 1951 in East Liverpool, Ohio to Stanley and Betty (Birch) Ward.

Ken Graduated from Wright State University in education and received his Master’s degree in Health Care Administration from Central Michigan University.  He retired in 2018 from Anazao Community Partners as Executive Director.  He served his community in many different roles.  Ken taught Sunday School for 30 years and loved God’s Word.  He taught with wisdom and wit.  Ken will be remembered for his courage and grace with which he faced his terminal diagnosis and life.  He chose to live each day trusting God and serving Him.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 46 years Jackie {Shade} Ward, daughter Kate (Jaret) Hagner, son Joseph Green (Alexis) Ward; grandchildren Amelia, Lauren, Claudia, Ellie, Livi, Augie, and Beckett; siblings Cindy (Thom) Springfield and Philip Ward; siblings-in-law Jill (Larry) Larkin, Jennifer (David) Phipps, and Jeff Shade; and many treasured friends.

Ken was preceded in death by his brother John Ward.

Ken generously donated his body to Wright State University anatomical gift program.

Memorial contributions may be made to Anazao Community Partners, 2587 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.

A memorial service will be held this Saturday at noon at Grace Church in Wooster, where friends may call from 10 – 12 pm.
