Kimberly A. Karlen, 59, of Maineville, died Friday, November 27, 2015 at The Hospice of Cincinnati, Blue Ash with her husband Warren and mother Helen at her side.
Friends may call Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Rd., Mason, OH 45040.
Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating. Kim was born November 23, 1956 in Paris, Kentucky to Frank Theodore Kern, Jr. and Helen Lee {True} Kern.
Kim graduated from Southern Ohio College with an associate degree in business administration.
She married Warren Karlen on November 25, 1977.
Kim worked in customer service at Intelligrated Inc. She attended Deerfield United Methodist Church in Landen. Kim was an assistant Den Leader for cub scouts and Cubmaster for Pack #817. When her sons were in boy scouts, she was a troop assistant and Merit Badge Counselor. She was also the Soccer Mom for the Kings Varsity Soccer Team, where she assisted the coaches with making sure everything was in order. Kim enjoyed gardening, horseback riding and counted cross-stitching. She loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Kim will be deeply missed by her husband Warren of 38 years; children Eric (Nicole) Karlen of Rockford, Illinois and Jason (Kati Molnar) Karlen of Cincinnati; grandchildren Benjamin, Samuel and Connor; mother Helen of Sharonville; sister Karen (David) Owens of Texas.
Kim was preceded in death by her father.
