Laura Lea Simoncic-Pfeifer

Laura Lea Simoncic-Pfeifer, age 70, of Lodi, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2024, at Smithville Western Care Center in Wooster. Born on August 12, 1954, in Berea, Ohio, to Wilbur and Wilma Mae (Gorder) Bjorklund, Laura lived a life full of color and creativity.

A free spirit with a deep love for flowers, Laura found her passion working as a florist at Hughies Flowers & Audio, where her vibrant arrangements reflected her joyful personality. She married Eugene Pfeifer on October 18, 2019, who lovingly remains to carry on her memory.

Laura’s legacy lives on through her children, Joy Pfeifer of Avon Lake, Christopher Pfeifer of North Ridgeville, and Travis Simoncic of Bedford Heights. Her grandchildren, Hanna Pfeifer, Matthew Meeker, Leah Missig, Aubrey Pfeifer, and Mia Pfeifer, will remember her as a fun, spirited grandmother who encouraged them to explore and find beauty in the world around them. She is also survived by her brother, Eric Bjorklund, and her sister, Leslie Armagno of Germany.

Preceding her in death were her beloved parents and her brother, Trygue Bjorklund.

In honor of her wishes, no formal services will be held. Her family invites those who loved her to remember her in their own way—by planting a flower, sharing a memory, or simply pausing to admire nature’s beauty.
