Lauretta Severance

Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great-Great Grandmother, Lauretta Allard Severance, 91, passed away in her home on Thursday, December 15, 2016 after a short illness.
She was born January 10, 1925 and raised on Allardale Farm, which is now the Medina County Park. Lauretta was the youngest and last surviving child of Elbridge and Abby Allard.
Lauretta was a graduate of Granger High School and lived most of her life in Medina County with the exception of her 17 years in Arizona.
She retired from Westfield Insurance Company in 1980 and later from Mesa Public Schools in 1995. Lauretta was an avid Ohio State fan and will be remembered for her boisterous cheering and her OSU cane.
Lauretta is survived by her children Cheryl (Glen) Leib, Charlene (Paul) Darst, Maris (Red) Dilinger, Bill Severance and Ted Severance; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchhildren; five great great grandchildren; and her Allard nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Curt, son Chuck Severance, brothers and a sister.
Per her wish she will be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church with Jim Singleton officiating. Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Wadsworth is assisting the family with arrangements. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
