Lenore B. Louk, 79, of West Salem, died Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Brethren Care Village.
Lenore was born September 19, 1939 in Mansfield to John Phillip and Ruth Devoy {Weaver} Watson.
She married Charles Vaughn on December 9, 1961. He died on October 4, 2010. Lenore then married Gene Louk on April 16, 2011. He survives.
Lenore was a registered nurse and worked at Brethren Care Village for over 20 years. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church for over 40 years. During her time at the church she was a member of the Ambassador Sunday School Class, helped with the funeral meals, children’s care, and volunteered for the Mission to the Amish People (MAP). Lenore enjoyed crocheting blankets for needy children around the world and was an avid lover of dogs.
Lenore will be deeply missed by her husband, Gene; children Kathryn L. Raber of McAlester, OK and David A. Esterline of Polk; step-children David Louk of Nova and Amy Louk of Westlake; grandchildren Alan D. Esterline, Samantha K. Esterline, and three granddaughters; three step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters Evelyn (Gene) of Missouri and Maxine Rodgers of Fort Worth, TX.
Lenore was preceded in death by her brothers Phil and Ivan, sisters Caroline and Edna.
Friends may call Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastors John Bouquet and Eric Abel officiating.
