Lester Howard Finley, 87, of Dalton, passed away Monday, November 30, 2015 at Shady Lawn Nursing Home, in Dalton.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Pastor Kirk Fairhurst officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to LifeCare Hospice at 1900 Akron Rd. Wooster, OH 44691.
Lester was born February 21, 1928 in Apple Creek, Ohio to Dennis G. and Letha {Bott} Finley.
Lester retired from Wooster Products as a machine operator. He was a member of First Brethren Church. Lester loved old cars, taking long car rides, going out to eat and spending time with his family and his adopted family at Shady Lawn.
Lester will be deeply missed by his nieces Sandy (Ron) Pearce of Loris, South Carolina and Kay (Tim) Ott of Fork, South Carolina and nephew Paul Finley of Wooster.
Lester was preceded in death by his parents, sister Alma Phillips and brother Paul Finley.
Lester's family would like to thank the caregivers at Shady Lawn for their exceptional care and companionship. They went out of their way for Lester and were his family.
