Linda Guthrie

On August 23, 2021, Linda J. Guthrie of Wooster, OH, loving wife and mother of two, passed away from natural causes at the age of 78.
Linda was born on October 20, 1942, in Wooster to Charles and Maxine Houmard. Linda was a lifelong Wooster resident and worked at the Wooster Clinic, and then the Wooster Orthopedics and Sports Medicine where she worked for 40 years. She married Thomas R. Guthrie on May 17, 1974, and raised a daughter and son, Gine and Jeff.
Linda was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her dog Bubba. She was an avid reader, loved to travel, garden, and enjoyed attending her grandchildren's concerts, plays, and sporting events. She was an active member of the Marshallville Loins Club and attended Grace Church in Wooster.
Linda is survived by her husband Thomas Guthrie, children Jeff (Christine) Nolletti and Gina Pennell; siblings Gene Houmard, Sam Houmard, and Chris Hofacker; Tim (Linda) Guthrie; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents.
The family would like to thank the staff at Wooster Community Hospital ICU for their care, kindness, and compassion during Linda's final days.
Due to Covid-19, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
