Loretta E. Wheeland, 85, of Wadsworth, went peacefully surrounded by her family Thursday, August 30, 2012.
Loretta was born October 4, 1926 in Wadsworth, Ohio to Albert and Ethel {Crone} Fulton.
She married Veryle on December 20, 1947. He passed away in 1994.
Loretta enjoyed baking, gardening, putting together family albums of the family and spending time with friends. Tyler and Grandma enjoyed playing Chinese checkers together. Loretta will be dearly missed and was loved by all that knew her.
Loretta will be deeply missed by her children Jeff P. Wheeland of Norton, Dennis (Susan) Wheeland of IN, Cheryl (Russ) Ellis of Rittman, Gary (Judy) Wheeland of Wadsworth, and Ronald Wheeland of Wadsworth; 14 grandchildren; and 7 great-granchildren.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Ethel, husband Veryle, brothers Roy, Charles, and Earl, and sister Edna Mae Wheeland.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11am at Roberts Funeral Home- Hillcrest Chapel, Wadsworth with Pastor Dan Greggory officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
