Lucy A. Vicars, 88, of Wooster, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at National Church Residences, in Cuyahoga Falls.
Friends may call Saturday from 10 to 12 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be Saturday at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at 740 Lakeview Plaza Blvd., Worthington, OH 43085 or Parkinson's Disease Foundation at 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
Lucy was born August 27, 1927 in Killbuck, Ohio to Milo M. and Helen {Christopher} Miller.
She married James Vicars on June 5, 1949. Jim passed away on October 31, 2006.
She worked for Rubbermaid for 21 years, retiring in 1987, and was a member of Moreland Methodist Church. Lucy enjoyed playing cards, crocheting and spending time with her family.
Lucy will be deeply missed by her children Timothy (Janet) Vicars of Munroe Falls and Peggy (Tom) Davis of Peoria, AZ; grandchildren Amanda (Reagan) Henry and Bethany (Shawn) Ohl, Matthew Nichols; great-grandchildren twins Logan and Austin Henry, and Sydney Ohl; sister Susan Miller of Holmesville; as well as the countless lives she touched by her overwhelming kindness.
Lucy was preceded in death by her husband James of 56 years, granddaughter Kristen Nichols, and sister Virginia Phillips.
