Lura Tennant Rollyson, 89, of Norton, died Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Autumwood, in Rittman.
Lura was born April 22, 1927 in Wise County, Virginia to Creed and Theo {Hensley} Wells.
She married Ezra Brickey, he died previously. She then married James Tennant, he died in 1993.
Lura was a head cook at various restaurants and was a caterer in the Wadsworth area. She attended the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in Norton. Lura was loved and appreciated by everyone who knew her. The Lord gave her a long and prosperous life.
Lura will be deeply missed by her daughters Mona Homonai, Carol (Phil) Medler and Brenda (Pete) Cadieux; grandchildren Phil Medler Jr., Lori Runo , Bobby Cutright, Stepfanie Eschak, and Lydia Maki; eight great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-great-grandchildren.
Lura was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings.
Funeral services will be Monday, March 27, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Wadsworth with Minister Regi Cureton officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Autumnwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 275 Sunset Dr. Rittman, Ohio 44270.
