Mabel N. Parker, 88 of Wooster, died Sunday October 7, 2012 at West View Healthy Living in Wooster. Calling hours will be Wednesday October 10 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Services will be Thursday at 11:00 am at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Mabel was born December 25, 1923 in Cromwell, Kentucky to John and Ivy Myrtle (Miller) Rock. She married Thomas Parker on January 18, 1947. He died June 29, 2002.
Mabel retired from Frito Lay in Wooster after many years of service.
She had a BSMSPHD degree in life. She was a kind loving person who was always willing to help in any way and who has left a legacy of memories for all to enjoy and share. A life that touches the lives of others lives forever in the heart.
Mabel will be deeply missed by children Patricia (late Gerald) Beeman, James (Sharon) Parker, three grandchildren Jeff (Kerry) Boss, Aaron Parker and Sarah Parker, special friends Marita and Greg Buchanan.
In addition to her husband Thomas, Mabel was preceded in death by a son David Parker, son-in-law Gerald Beeman, grandson Derek Parker, great-granddaughter Jane Boss, brothers Leslie (Rock), Henry, Charles (Pete), Talbert, Gilbert Rock and sisters Lennie, Lestie (Beck), Beulah, Martine, and Christine and a special niece Wanda (Frank Young).
