Margaret Lee Boatner, 90 of Wooster, went to be with the Lord Monday, November 13, 2017 at West View Healthy Living after a short illness.
Graveside services will be Friday, November 24 at 1 pm at Congress Cemetery with Wendell Sinclair officiating. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. Margaret was born September 10, 1927 to Karl Von and Naomi {Saltsman} Billheimer. She grew up in Congress, Ohio where she attended Congress Schools and met her future husband, Tom Boatner. They were married on October 16, 1948 and celebrated 64 years together. Tom preceded her in death on February 20, 2013. Margaret and Tom moved to West Salem, building a home on North Main Street, where they raised their two girls until moving to Wooster in 1990.
Margaret attended Wooster Business School and worked at Westfield Insurance Companies , living in the employee residences while Tom was stationed in the Korean war. She also worked at the West Salem Fireworks for many years. She was a member of Highland Church of God in Wooster, and the United Methodist Church in West Salem. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren in their sporting and school events and was an
avid Cleveland Cavalier and Indian fan. Margaret also enjoyed working on Jigsaw and Crossword puzzles, and reading books.
Margaret will be deeply missed by her daughters Beth (Nat) Russell of Powell and Lynn (Geof) Bednar of Smithville; grandchildren Shane, Madison, Scott, and Garrett.
The family would like to thank the staffs at West View Healthy Living and Crossroads Hospice for their loving care and support.
