Margery Mae Portner Weekley (nee Fulk), 94, of Ashland, died December 27, 2017 at Good Shepherd, in Ashland.
Friends may call Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel, Ashland. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Layton Broome officiating. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park. Margery was born February 15, 1923 in Mansfield, Ohio to Sidney and Esther {Eby} Fulk.
She graduated Union High School in 1942.
Margery married Harold D. Portner on August 4, 1943. He passed away August 18, 1976. She then married Clair W. Weekley January 2, 1977. He passed away August 30, 2013.
She worked at Cresco in Ashland and White Westinghouse in Mansfield. Margery was a life long member of Paradise Hill Church, where she played piano and organ for services. She liked to sew and crochet, and liked traveling, and spending winters in Florida.
Margery will be deeply missed by her four children; Larry ((Rae Ann) Portner of Ashland, James (Marsha) Portner of Ashland, Linda Cooke of Florida, and Sheryl (Wayne) Westervelt of Warren; three step children Gary (Judie) Weekley of North Carolina, David Weekley of Florida, and Terri (Pat) Johnson of Tennessee; sister Phyllis Simpson of Loudonville, brothers Ray (Wilma) Fulk of Mansfield, and Forest Fulk of Ashland; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildrenn nieces and nephews.
Margery was preceded in death by her parents, as well as many siblings and in laws.
