Marian Lee Messenger, 75, of Orrville, died Saturday January 19, 2013 at her residence.
Friends may call Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating. Marian was born August 29, 1937 in Barnsville, Ohio to John Thomas and Thelma Gertrude {Stevens} Vermillion.
She married Lida (Gene) Messenger on October 2, 1966.
She worked at Your Pizza Shop for many years and still known by many as the pizza lady, the Sweet Shop, and retired from Dutch Country. She loved spending time with her family, playing cards, slots, loved watching the Cleveland Indians, and music.
Marian will be deeply missed by her children James (Trudy) Messenger of Sevierville, TN, Barb (Dan) Kirk of Shreve, Carol Gross of Orrville, Marilyn (Randy) Everett of Marshallville, Helen Messenger of Orrville; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother Paul (Martha) Vermillion of Cadiz; sisters Juanita Meighen of Canton, Ruby Rowen of Canton, Diane (Lester) Steele of Cambridge, Karen (Bud) Ogle of Cambridge, Kathy (John) Ingram of Cambridge, Debbie (Gordon) Walker of Cambridge.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband, son Don Messenger, grandchild Debbie, great-grandchild Ashley, brother Clyde Patrick, sister Jean Willy.
