Marilyn Morehead

Marilyn G. Morehead, 97, of Wadsworth, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 14th, 2021 at The Inn of CoalRidge.

Marilyn was born on August 24th, 1924 in Lancaster, Ohio to Raymond and Neda Driver. She attended nursing school at White Cross Hospital in Columbus. She began her nursing career as an RN in the Obstetrical Department at Wadsworth Municipal Hospital. She later became supervisor of the OB Department at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital. She retired in 1986 after 30 years of service. She enjoyed spending her years of retirement gardening, cooking, taking bus trips with her husband, and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Bruce; son, Timothy; grandson, Travis; and sister, Marcella.

She will be deeply missed by her son Jeffery (Pam) Morehead; daughter-in-law Roxanne Morehead; grandchildren Wendy Kissinger, Kelly (Josh) McCall, Tracey (Mark) Prudence, and Christine (Brendan) Seib; great-grandchildren Ben and Nick Kissinger, Allison and Katelyn McCall, and Mason and Hunter Prudence.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Inn of CoalRidge Wadsworth for the care and compassion they showed to Marilyn and Bruce over the years.

Private family services are being held with burial taking place at Roberts Funeral Home- Hillcrest Chapel.
