Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Chaplain Charlotte Glasgow officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.   Memorial contributions may be made to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd. Wooster, Ohio 44691 or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Marjorie was born August 3, 1917 in Adena, Ohio to Ernest O. and Altai {Hastings} Moore.

She graduated from Apple Creek High School. During her early adult years she worked at a few different jobs.  The most significant one being a waitress at the Palace Restaurant in downtown Wooster.  Bert Noletti, who at the time worked across the street at Lerch’s Donuts, became a regular customer of hers.  Their relationship grew and they eloped to Ashland, KY and married April 17, 1943.  They were married for 64 years before his passing.

Together they started their family and their business, Noletti’s Bakery and Restaurant.  Marge worked both in the bakery and managed all the bookkeeping aspects of running a business. They owned and operated Noletti`s Bakery for 37 years from 1947 to 1984.

Both Marge and Bert enjoyed cooking and their family benefited from this as they frequently gathered around the dining room table. They also liked to travel. The family camping vacations took them to not only neighboring states, but to numerous National Parks out West. In later years they traveled to Bert`s reunions with his WWII buddies and made annual trips to Myrtle Beach. Marge’s last trip there was when she was 97 years old.

Marge went about her life quietly giving to others. She enjoyed crocheting and many family members have afghans made by her. For years she made elaborate Christmas decorations for her children and grandchildren. She would start making these gifts at the beginning of Summer and would present them to family members at Thanksgiving so they could be enjoyed that Christmas. The greatest gift she gave her family was how she aged with a sense of grace that few possess.

She will be deeply missed by her daughters Nancy (Kenny) Wise of Burbank, Sandy Noletti of Dover and Judy Franks of Wooster; grandchildren Angela (Ben) Vail of Pelham, AL and Bradley (Julie) Oliver of Westfield Center, OH; great-grandchildren Ben Vail, Max Hamilton and Jenna Oliver; brothers Wayne (Jeanette) Moore of Kingman, AZ and David Moore of Burbank, OH; sister Wilda Soka of Michigan; special sister-in-law Angelina Zappala of Long Island, NY; along with many nieces and nephews.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Bert in 2007, brothers Bascom, Ernest (Haldene), and Glenn, sister Lena Horn, granddaughter Jennifer McCarthy and great-granddaughter Natalie Vail.

The family would like to thank both Dr. Bay and Dr. Rachel Coveny for years of dedicated service that enhanced her health.  In her final year, the assistance from the staff at LifeCare Hospice provided her necessary comfort and was greatly appreciated.  The family also appreciates the last few years of service from the staff at Trinity Home Health Care.  They demonstrated caring and compassion that went well beyond the paycheck.  A special thank you to her daughter, Judy, because of her love and dedication over the past 10 years Marge was able to stay in her own home.
