Mark Alan Casto

Mark Alan Casto, passed away, Monday, January 27, 2025 after fighting heart disease for 25 years.

Mark is survived by wife, Lesa Keith Casto, his children Jennifer (Dale) Klemenz and Jason (Heather) Casto. His bonus children include Ashley Varner and Adam (Stacy) Varner, whom he loved as his own. Grandchildren are Jaslynn and Elle Casto, Jack Varner, Elizabeth (Ben) Pintar, and great grandchild, Amelia Pintar.
Also surviving are siblings Becky Holmes and James Casto, along with several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Mark in death are parents Russell and Marcella Casto, and infant granddaughter, Liliana Gonzales.

Mark graduated from Marietta High School in 1971. He retired in 2002 from Eramet, after 30 years of service, due to health issues

Mark was a Christian who loved God and tried to live his life accordingly, praying he would spend eternity in His presence.

His greatest passions were attending his children and grandchildren's activities. Mark coached football for Harmar Hawks, and was involved with Marietta Tiger Boosters, attending every high school football game to watch his son Jason.
He was also a member of the Marietta Wall of Sound band boosters and supported his daughter, Jennifer, always in attendance at every band competition.

His granddaughters, Jaslynn and Elle, were involved in Fort Frye girl's sports and never missed a game until recent months. Grandson, Jack, playing for the Marietta Sluggers, were games he never missed and he introduced Jack to the sport of fishing. For the Fort Frye and Sluggers sports teams, Mark was known as the "Unofficial Official".

A viewing and greeting of friends and family to share memories will be held Thursday, January 30th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Roberts Funeral Home, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta, OH 45750.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
