Marlene Dye

Marlene Sue Dye, 72, of Newport, died Saturday, June 22, 2019 at home surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born September 6, 1946 in Marietta to Raleigh Osten and Mary Elizabeth {Bush} Hartshorn.

Marlene graduated from Newport High School.

She married Steve Dye on June 18, 1987.

Marlene was a member of Beech Grove United Methodist Church as well as the Newells Run Book Club (wine tasting club). She enjoyed the outdoors, flowers, gardening and being active. Most of all she enjoyed her family and friends.

Marlene will be deeply missed by her husband Steve Dye; children Diana (Mike) Foster and Michael Siders; grandchildren Eric Siders and Kaci Fulmer;  brother Gene (Becky) Hartshorn of Newport; sister Mary Ann (Pat) Lamkin of Texas.

Marlene was preceded in death by her mother and father and Charles Siders.

Friends may call Wednesday, June 26 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta.  Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Kent Hall officiating.  Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park.
