M. Arlene Walters

M.Arlene (Moore) Walters, age 82, passed away December 8th, 2017 in Redding, California.

She was born to Fred and Wilma Moore (Tull) on November 5th, 1935 in Walla Walla, Washington.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 50+ years, Thomas Eugene Walters and 2 sons, Stephen Walters and Eric Thomas Walters.

She is survived by her 5 daughters, May A. Walters of Redding, CA., Melanie A. Bangert of Reynoldsburg, OH., Melinda A. Lisk (Craig) of Marietta, OH., Marcia A Ramstrom of Redding, CA., and Megan A. Dials (Tony), of Tampa, FL. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren who loved her immensely and miss her very much; Robert S. Rieder (Amanda), Lauren R. Bangert (Rory Van Dyke), Morgan A. Ramstrom, Matthew C. Bangert, Colton Ramstrom, Carson C. Lisk, Cody Lisk and Grace Trousdale. And beloved dog Max. Also surviving are 2 great grandchildren, Emeri Nicole and Benett Thomas Rieder.

Arlene was an avid crafter. From making blankets for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to making mop dolls to sewing school clothes for her children. Her and her devoted, loving husband Tom were entrepreneurs starting and running many businesses during their 50+ years together while raising 6 children. She loved to just get in the van or camper with dad and take trips. She often said she missed that a lot.

After Tom passed she became an ordained minister which allowed her to marry many many happy couples that included her daughter Megan and her granddaughter Lauren to their respective spouses.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 23rd at 1 PM at Roberts Funeral Home, 27880 State Route 7, Marietta, OH 45750. The family will receive friends from 12 until the time of the service. Inurnment will follow at Churchtown Cemetery.
