Martha Lee Oliver, passed away on peacefully on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at her residence in Pflugerville, Texas. Martha was 94 years of age.
Martha was born on September 14, 1924 in Marietta, Ohio to the late Thomas Gale Hadley and Laura Maude (Lee) Hadley. She was a graduate of Dunbar West Virginia in May of 1942. Martha worked in many various positions over the years including painting glassware for Dunbar Glass, signed up with United States War Department in Naval Intelligence in Washington, D.C. and worked in administration for Union Carbide. Martha was a devoted long time member of the Trinity Methodist Church in Marietta, Ohio where she served as an organist. She was also an active member of the National Humane Society. Martha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She will be forever remembered for her faith, passion for art and painting, her many rescued pets, music and most importantly her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Martha married James. R. Oliver on May 6, 1944.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Lee Oliver and huis wife Barbara Ann of Pflugerville, Texas; grandchildren, Dustin Hadley Oliver and his wife Chrissie (Cavitt) of Austin, Texas and Ashley Elizabeth Oliver of Pflugerville, Texas; great grandchildren, Dillon Lee Tecson, twins Taylor Shay and Skyler Rae See; as well as many extended family members and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband James R. Oliver on July 28, 1998 and a daughter Patricia Lynn Oliver on October 28, 1955.
Martha’s family wishes to thank the staff of Knights Assisted Living for their loving care and assistance.
Private burial service will be held at East Lawn Memorial Park.
