Mary Ruth Bright

Mary Ruth {Benner} Bright, 85, of Ashland, died March 24, 2025 at The Inn at Ashland Woods, in Ashland, Ohio.

Ruth was born January 27, 1940 in Ashland, Ohio to Lawrence and Jennie {Kenner} Benner.

She graduated from Savannah High School.

Ruth married Paul Bright on December 4, 1958, they were married for 66 years.

She was a homemaker and worked on the family farm full time. Ruth was a member of Maple Grove Church of the Brethren her whole life. She loved sewing, embroidery and making quilts. Ruth was very active in Ladies Aid and service projects at her church, she was extremely involved with Maple Grove Church during her lifetime.

Ruth will be deeply missed by her children Joyce (Joe) Suter, Carol (Ed) Warchol, and Wayne (Carol Sharp) Bright; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers Glenn (Pauline) Benner, Kenny (Sally) Benner and sister-in-law Pat Benner.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Paul; parents; brothers Charles, Raymond, Earl, George, David, Clyde; sisters Clara and Rachel.

Friends may visit from 10 to 11 a.m. at Maple Grove Church of the Brethren in Ashland, Ohio Monday, March 31, 2025. Funeral services will follow (and be livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Mary-Bright) with Pastor Steve Keib officiating. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park.
