Mary Edna Colyer, 77, of Marietta, died Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Marietta Center.
Mary was born October 4, 1939 in Jamestown, Tennessee to Hiram and Martha {Terry} Roysden.
She graduated from the Alvin C. York Institute in Jamestown.
She married Joseph E. Colyer on January 23rd, 1960.
Mary worked at the Newport IGA for over 30 years. She was a member of Community No. 9 Church in Newport where she taught Sunday School.
Mary will be deeply missed by her children Frank Colyer, Becky Gale (Tony) and Trish Haught (Mike); grandchildren Joseph Colyer (Rachel), Donovan Colyer, Nathan Colyer, Leah Colyer (Tyler Schau), Brett Colyer, Jackson Colyer, Ben Gale, Cassie Gale (Tanya Lucero), Kimberly Marney (Jonathan), Corey Haught (Kate Stephan), Carina Holdsworth (Danny), Jennifer Haught (Eric Lindsay); great-grandchildren Riley Colyer, Benjamin Colyer, Max Colyer, Zoey Colyer, Carson Schau, James Marney, Maci Lindsay, and Harlow Holdsworth; brothers Charlie Roysden and Edmund Roysden; sisters Ova Mae Richards, Evelyn Clements, Dorothy Clemons, Anne Wyatt and Sue Hawkins.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph; brothers Oliver Roysden, Delmar Roysden, Luther Roysden and an infant brother; sisters Nora Cress and Novella Ivie; grandchildren Joshua Colyer, Jacqueline and Jessica Gale.
Friends may call Tuesday, February 14th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Muskingum Valley Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Mary's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
