Mary Cooke

Mary Cooke, 95, of West Salem, died Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Brookwood Place, in Ashland.

Mary was born March 10, 1926 in Williamsport, PA to Albert and Marguerite {Becher} Bangert.

She married Richard Cooke Sr. on October 16, 1944. He passed in April 2009.

She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church of West Salem. Mary loved sewing, making her own clothing, baking Christmas cookies for her family, traveling the country, and ballroom dancing with Richard.

Mary will be deeply missed by her sons Albert (Elaine), Gene, Glenn (Sharon), Peter Cooke, and daughter Mary (Jack) Butcher, daughter-in-law Carol Cooke; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son Richard Cooke Jr.

Friends may call Friday from 2 to 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel, Ashland. Services will be Friday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Father Rod Kreidler officiating.
