Mary Kathryn Freeman

Mary Kathryn Freeman, 81, of Mount Vernon, died August 23, 2022 at Knox Community Hospital, in Mount Vernon.

Mary was born January 27 1941 in Richmond Virginia to Clarence and Helen (Smith)  Stacey.

She  married Linn Lester Freeman on February 22, 1959.

She worked as a Nurses Aid for many years and retired from Rose Gardens Nursing Home.   She loved working on puzzle books, crossword puzzles, gardening and of course grandchildren.  She was a sweet loving woman. 

Mary will be deeply loved and missed by her husband; children, Jane (Mark) Miller, Donna Shults;  grandchildren Kathryn (Dustin) McCoy, Robert (Amanda) Shults, Scott (Brandy) Bittinger, Daniel Bittinger, Keith Carder, Linn Carder;  many great-grandchildren including Taylor McCoy, Hunter McCoy, Jonathon Bittinger, Nicolas Bittinger, Dillon Bittinger, Michelle Bittinger, Hailey Bittinger, Austin Carder, Hayden Carder, Rickelle Carder, Ariel Carder, Carson Shults and Chloe Shults;  brothers Bill Stacey, Thomas Stacey;  sisters Lucy (Jay) Kennedy, Ruth (Phill) Sigman. 

Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Huffman, father Clarence Stacey, son Linn L. Freemen Jr, and daughter Teresa Freeman, sisters Mavis Ellison and Betty Tice and grandson Ryan Lee Carder.
