Mary Hollandsworth

Mary Jane Hollandsworth, 86, of Ashland, died Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Samaritan Hospital, in Ashland.

Mary was born February 21, 1936, in Clarksburg, West Virginia to Arthur and Mildred {Barnes} Carpenter.

She attended school in Clarksburg

She married Walter Hollandsworth on October 22, 1955.  Shortly thereafter, they moved to Sullivan, Ohio.  Walter passed away on September 30, 2015.

Mary worked for Headstrom for over thirty years. She dedicated her life to serving the Lord and loving her family. She loved cooking, canning, reading the bible, and attending the events of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary will be deeply missed by her children Larry (Connie) Hollandsworth, Terry Hollandsworth, Deb Bailey, Tammy (Jim) Mitchell, and Wayne (Guin) Gregory; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Grace Carpenter; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; five siblings; and two grandkids Michael and Zion.

Friends may call Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at The Sullivan Church of the Nazarene (Formerly Sullivan Christian Church) 495 US Route 224, Sullivan Ohio 44880.  Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Howard Russell officiating.  Burial will be at Southview Cemetery.
