Mary Jane Johnson, 95, of Wooster, died Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Wayne County Care Center.
A private burial will be held at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 408 9th St SW Canton, Ohio 44707.
Mary Jane was born June 14, 1921 in Smithville, Ohio to Lester and Nola {Metsker} Wirth.
She graduated from Smithville High School in 1939.
She married Lew Chester Johnson on October 27, 1947.
Mary worked for Akron Brass during WWII. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Wadsworth Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She loved to crochet and play bridge. At a bridge game she met her husband.
Mary Jane will be deeply missed by her children Thomas (Elizabeth) Johnson and Janis (Wesley) Busby both of Wooster; grandchildren Ben Busby, Rachel (Landon) Sellman, Kim (Joe) Saad, Joel (Carolina) Johnson, Toni (John) Wilford, Sherry (Gary) Kiplinger and Larry Michael Naylor; 8 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister Peggy (Don) Bucher.
Mary Jane was preceded in death by her husband, son Larry Lester Naylor, 4 sisters and parents.
