Mary Jane Schmit

Mary Jane Schmit, 90, of Evanston, IL, died Wednesday April 17, 2024 at Life Care Center of Medina.

Mary Jane was born April 22, 1933, in Evanston, IL to Robert and Willamena {McCallum} Nicholson.

She married David Schmit on September 8, 1958. 

Mary Jane worked at Concerned Care, and Roseman Tractor. She was a parishioner at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Evanston, where she enjoyed helping with church and school activities.

Mary Jane will be deeply missed by; her son Mike (Karen) Schmit of Westfield Center; grandchildren Heidi, Megan, Carly, Cooper, Olivia, Bek, and Bill; great-grandchildren Billy and Leo; son-in-law Bill Lambrecht of Wilmette, IL.

Mary Jane was preceded in death by her husband David, daughter Amy Lambrecht, and brothers Robert and Chuck.
