Mary Kraner

Mary Carolyn Ash Kraner, 86, of Marietta, Ohio passed away on Sunday. January 14, 2018.

Mary was a Christian and attended the Church of Christ at Warner, Ohio.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Dr. Keith L. Kraner; two daughters, Karen Kraner of Frederick, MD, and Lisa (Price) Nichols of Missouri; two grandchildren Hayden Nichols and Katie Nichols both from Missouri; one sister and brother-in-law, Martha Ash Hunter and Howard; and one sister-in-law, Martha Busch Ash.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Flavius and Winifred Ash; three brothers, Dr. Clarence Ash, Dr. Leroy Ash, and Lawrence Ash; four sisters, Dorothy Ash Bender, Elsie Ash Hanson, Virgie Ash Dixon, and Margaret Ash Milnor.

She formerly resided in Dayton, Ohio; Columbia, Missouri; Gaithersburg, MD; and Frederick, MD. She was a loving wife and mother, and she loved all her family and traveled near and far to attend all their important events. Besides being part of her husband's military activities, she was a partner in her cancer research firm called Pathco.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 18th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home – East Lawn Chapel, 27880 State Route 7, Marietta 45750. Her funeral will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
