Mary Ellen Stewart

Mary Ellen Stewart, 89, of Doylestown, died Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at her residence.

Mary Ellen was born November 20, 1934 in Brickeys, Arkansas to Joseph Henry and Luretta {Cook} Rhoads.

She graduated from High School.

She married Richard Stewart on July 11, 1981. 

Mary Ellen worked for Nabisco Brands for many years. She was a member of Gold Wing Riders Association in Wooster Chapter I. She enjoyed watching birds and squirrels, quilting and cooking.   

Mary Ellen will be deeply missed by her husband; children Kenneth Joseph Jefferies of Doylestown, Phoebe (Allen) Fletcher of Lodi, Richard Wayne (Penny) Rhoads of Wadsworth, and Sandra Rogers of Massillon; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-greatgrandchildren; brothers Samuel and William Rhoads; sister Martha Hadley.

Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her daughters Virginia Rogers, and Sally Starling, son Nolan Jefferies, and son-in-law Gerald (Nubbin) Rogers, brothers JD and John Rhoads, sisters Betty Schmidt and Linda Rhoads.

Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
