Mary “Kay” K. Mauri, 98, of Wooster, died October 31, 2019 at The Avenue, in Wooster.
Friends may call Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Father Stephen Moran officiating. Mary was born March 18, 1921 in Beallsville to Lonnie W. and Helen {Riley} Phillips.
She married John Mauri on June 29, 1946. He died July 13, 1992.
She worked at the Hansley Mills Sewing Factory in Barnesville for 8 years then worked at the Tavern in Cleveland as a cook for 5 years before retiring. Mary was an active member in the Saint John Catholic Church. She loved dancing with her husband and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Mary will be deeply missed by her brother Arlen (Jenny) Phillips; and many nieces and nephews. Even though her nieces and nephews weren’t her biological children, she loved them just like her own.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, sister Eula Long, and brothers Clifford, Lorne, Jesse, Bernard, Dwight, and Carlos.
