Matthew was born November 26, 1969 in Medina, Ohio to Mike and Linda Smith, he was raised by his mother and step-father Tim Boyes.
He was a member of Heartland Christian Center. He loved fishing, camping and anything related to the outdoors, fixing cars, woodwork and carpentry.
Matthew will be deeply missed by a son Joshua Smith, his mother and father, brothers Jonathan James Smith and Michael Lee Smith and a sister Michelle Smith.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
