Meda Ethel McCord, 84, of Wooster, died Thursday, October 2, 2014 at her home.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 29 at 11am at the Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, where friends may call from 10-11am. Wooster. Meda was born July 19, 1930 in Salineville, Ohio to Mark and Sylvia {Allison} Hirst. She graduated from Salineville High School and attended Kent State University. She married Donald McCord on June 25, 1948. He died June 19, 2008.
Meda managed a clinic for Dr. Robert Madison in Salem, Ohio as well as Bacon and Cibula Clinic in Lisbon. She was a member of the Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Summitville.
She enjoyed playing bridge, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
Meda will be deeply missed by her children John (Laura) McCord of Wooster and Julie (Tim) Leek of Malvern; grandchildren Andrew, Alex, and Jordan McCord, Jessica Kevan and Brett Pendleton; brother John (Irene) Hirst of North Jackson; sisters Martha Hilliard of Circleville, Sally Keating of Salineville, and Edna (Jake) Williamson of Carrollton; and many special friends.
Meda was preceded in death by her husband Donald and a brother Don Hirst.
