Melanie Swain

Melanie Sue Swain, 56, of Wooster, died Friday, May 27, 2022 at Smithville Western Care Center, in Wooster.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Roberts Funeral Home.

Melanie was born November 9, 1965 in Newark, Ohio to Bernard and Mary {Brown} Rogers.

She married Gary R. Swain Sr. on August 9, 1980. He passed in January of 2021.

Melanie worked for Roto-Rooter before retiring. She enjoyed reading and baking. Melanie was a proud grandmother, always showing off pictures of her grandkids.

Melanie will be deeply missed by her children Gary Jr. (Danyelle) of Wooster and Cassandra Anderson of Apple Creek; grandchildren Gavin, Jaqueline, Krystal, Shelbey, Elizabeth, Thomas, Mia, and Austin; sisters Deborah Seymour of South Carolina and Sandra Maher and special friend Jim of Cleveland, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and one uncle.

Melanie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gary Sr., brother David, and daughter Angela.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice and Smithville Western Care Center for the care they provided over the last few years.
