Melva Mae Hawk, 95, of Wooster, died Monday, September 27, 2021, at her residence.
Friends may call Monday from 10 to 11 am at St James Church of Crossroads church with Pastor William C. Andrick officiating with services following at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre.

Melva was born August 24, 1926, in Navarre to John W. and Grace L. {Owens} Hindley.
She married Harold W. Hawk on August 15, 1948. He died in 2016.
Melva worked for the Wooster Brush Company for 21 years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of the St. James Church of Crossroads, where she was past president of the Ladies Aid and Hats and Bags Club. Melva was a member of the Eastern Star #270. She enjoyed dancing and spending time with her family.
Melva will be deeply missed by her daughter Nancy J. Phillips of Wooster, grandchildren Patrick Horner of Smithville and Randy (Robin) Horner of Big Prairie; many great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Jean Hawk of Dalton, and several nieces and nephews.
Melva was preceded in death by her husband Harold, brother Russell Hindley, and niece Sandra McNealy.
