Melvin Lloyd Snurr, 77, of Wadsworth, passed on to glory on November 6, 2024.
Melvin was born February 8, 1947 in Wadsworth, Ohio to Elton and Dorothy {Nixon} Snurr.
Melvin served in the United States Army in Vietnam.
He married Kathy Martinez on March 15, 1969, and had been married for almost 56 years.
Melvin worked at Reiter Dairy for 30 years. After retirement, he worked at the Grace Lutheran Church in Wadsworth for 14 years. He was brought up in the Nazarene Church. Melvin was a lifetime member of the VFW, and a member of the American Legion. He loved country western music and watching classic cowboy movies. Melvin loved spending time with his family at home and was an avid dog lover. He was a mister fix it and could fix anything.
Melvin will be deeply missed by his wife Kathy, daughters Cathy Jo Page, and Pamela Huffman, grandchildren Krystal Dombroski and Samuel Page, and great-grandchild Rhys Parsons.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, brother Gerald Snurr, sister Lana Rawlings, nephew Donald Rawlings, and sons-in-laws Samuel D Page, and Anthony Huffman.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday November 16 at 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Graveside and military rights services will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. If you were/are a member of the military feel welcome to wear your military uniform. A Celebration of life and refreshments will follow at Mosaic Church 118 High St. in Wadsworth.
