Michael Burkey

Michael A. Burkey, 38, of Seville, died suddenly after complications from Diabetes, Tuesday, May 07, 2019 at Summa Akron City Hospital.

Mike was born December 14, 1980 in Elyria, Ohio to Michael H. and Darcey {Haun} Burkey.

He graduated from Cloverleaf High School in 1999.

Mike married Melloney Miller on June 7, 2003.

He partnered with Bryan Ody in The Plumbing Tree LLC, starting in 2018. Mike enjoyed fishing, outdoor motorsports, and playing music with his children.

Mike will be deeply missed by his wife; children Kaylee Edwards, Michael Burkey Jr.; parents Darcey and Harland Kasa of Seville; sister Amanda (Nick) Miller; sister-in-law Alicia (Kevin) Miller; grandmother Sandra Nowak of Elyria; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mike was preceded in death by his biological father Michael H. Burkey, sister Jennifer Lynn Burkey.

Friends may call Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Seville, 22 E Main St, Seville, OH 44273. Funeral services will be Saturday at 4 p.m. at the church.
