Michael C. "Mike" Franks, 70, of Wooster, died Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at his residence with his loving wife by his side.
Services will be Thursday, March 9th at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Church of Christ where Rev. Kevin Franklin will be officiating. Private inurnment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ Breakfast Program, 150 E. North Street, Wooster, OH 44691.
Mike was born January 19, 1947 in Wooster to Chester and Helen {Giffen} Franks.
He was a 1965 graduate of Wooster High School. Mike served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1969.
He married Lola Fuller on October 24, 1970.
Mike retired from Wooster Products as Assistant Foreman after 44 years. He was a member of the Wooster American Legion Post #68. Mike loved playing golf with his buddies, fishing trips to Canada, visiting casinos with his wife, NASCAR, and watching television from his recliner.
Mike will be deeply missed by his wife Lola of 46 years; his mother, Helen, and mother-in-law Violette Fuller both of Wooster; sister Janet (John) Harbaugh of Sebring, FL; brother-in-law Leslie (Mariann) Fuller of Bethlehem, PA; and seven nieces and nephews.
Mike was preceded in death by his father.
