Michael Leon Johnson

Michael Leon Johnson, 80, of Wooster, died September 7, 2024, at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, in Wooster.

Michael was born May 27, 1944, in Alliance, Ohio to Donald Johnson Sr. and Caroline Jean {Suttcliff} Johnson.

Michael served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1967.

Michael worked at Rubbermaid for 32 years and retired in 2000. He attended Rushing Wind Biker Church in Zanesville. Michael enjoyed traveling, going to the casino, and watching the Game Show Network.

Michael will be deeply missed by his daughters Michele Johnson of Yorktown and Teresa Johnson of Wooster; grandchildren Thyum Weigand of Vermont, Tyler Weigand of Orrville, and Travis Bourgeois of Virginia; brother Dennis Scott Johnson of Ohio; sister Roberta Johnson of Winder, GA; and sister-in-law Diane Johnson of Georgia.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Terry Johnson, Tim Johnson, Donald Johnson Jr., and Penny Johnson, and his aunt Jane Bennett.

Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster (and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Michael-Johnson) with Pastor Michael McGuire officiating.
