Michael Joseph Mong, 34, of Rittman, died Saturday, January 24, 2015 in the Palliative Care Unit at Summa Barberton Hospital.
Michael was born on June 3, 1980 in Barberton to Donald Mong and Darlene (Hatcher) Greenwood.
Michael was a tire delivery driver and also worked on a ranch in Bonita Springs, FL. Michael loved music and stock car racing. He was a proud member of the Rittman High School Marching Band and Choir.
Michael will be deeply missed by his parents, Donald J. Mong Jr. and his girlfriend Sharon Howell of Bristolville, OH, mother Darlene (Bruce) Greenwood of Rittman; sisters Tiffiny Raupach, Andrea Lehman and Pamela Berns; grandparents Janice Freese, whom he lived with since May of 2014, Ralph Hatcher and grandmother Nellie Greenwood; many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Also the Flesher family of Bonita Springs, Fl, where he lived for 13 years.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandmother Amelia Fae Hatcher, grandfather Donald Mong Sr and grandfather Dick Freese.
Friends may call Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Services will immediately follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
