Michael D. Ray, 59, of Wooster, died Wednesday May 29, 2013 at Akron General Hospital, after a sudden illness.
Friends may call Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Memorial services will be Monday at 2 at the funeral home with Pastor Joe Rubino officiating. Mike was born November 22, 1953 in Wooster, Ohio to Ward Jr. and Vera Mae {Danner} Ray.
He graduated from Wooster High School in 1972.
He married Joyce Root on May 25, 1985.
He worked for Clear Picture, Inc. for 34 years. He loved boating, fishing, and his dog Duke. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan.
Mike will be deeply missed by his wife Joyce; son and best friend Justin; brother Eric "Ric" Ray of Wooster; sister Connie (Dan) Miller of Fredricksburg; mother-in-law Shirley Root; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents.
