Mildred “Millie” Fetter-Baker, 86, of Marshallville, died Friday, August 30, 2019 at LifeCare Hospice.
Friends may call Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St Michael’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Lucas Merritt officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Millie was born December 8, 1932 in Marshallville, Ohio to Oliver C. and Maud L. {Smith} Fleming.
She graduated from Smithville High School in 1950.
She married George Jr. Fetter on June 28, 1955. He died August 28, 1990. She then married Dean Baker on December 1, 1997. He died January 17, 2012.
Millie retired from Rubbermaid in 1994. Previous jobs also included Hawkins Market, secretary at Green Local Schools, Singer Products and Gilbert Lumber. She was a member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church. She was an avid reader, wonderful cook, enjoyed needlework, bird watching and traveling with Dean.
Millie will be deeply missed by her children Diane (Denny) Heimbuch of Wooster, Pat (Greg) Kendle of Smithville and David Fetter; grandchildren Matthew (Michelle) Kendle, Kristofor (Rachel) Kendle, Kara (Jim) Yoxtheimer and Jace (John) Stasko; great-grandchildren Mallory, Maverick, JP, Lainey, Payton, Caity, Finnley and Gabby; step-sons Doug (Donetta), Dan (Peggy), Dean and Kirk Baker; brother-in-laws Bill Butzer and Wade Bauman; and sister-in-law Elaine Fetter.
Millie was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, sister Marjorie Berg, nephew Roger Berg, sisters-in-law Barbara Butzer and Buelah Bauman, and brother-in-law Edson Fetter.
