Milly Barnett

Milly Barnett, 71, of Wooster, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at Akron General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Her biggest joy was spending time with her family. Milly dealt with health issues for many years, but always fought through her pain to be there for her family.  She is admired greatly for the sharpness of her mind, her strength and perseverance.

Milly was born on January 17, 1952, in Wooster, the daughter of Wesley (deceased) and Doris Snoddy.

She graduated from Wooster High School in 1970 and attended The Ohio State University.

She proudly worked for many years at the Wayne County Public Library, was a tireless volunteer at Northwestern Elementary and had a passion for selling Paparazzi Jewelry after her retirement.  She enjoyed flowers and watching the birds. As an avid Ohio sports fan, Milly enjoyed watching the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Indians/Guardians, and most importantly any sports team on which her grandchildren played.

She will be greatly missed by her mother, Doris Snoddy; daughters Jeni (Jim) Franks of Wooster, Jody (Fred) Hart of Westerville, Jacie (Joe) Westover of Wooster and Jill Barnett of Toledo; grandchildren Mikaela, Isaac, Alex, Jacob, CJ, Nikki and Mason; five great grandchildren; sisters Vicki (Mike) Moore, Deb (Steve Rowland) Underwood and Sue (Chuck) Baker.

She was predeceased by her father, Wesley Snoddy and two infant grandchildren, Seth and Morgan. Her husband, Don Barnett, welcomed her into heaven singing a love song as they danced together again.

Milly was of the Christian faith and served the church her entire life.  The Lord is most certainly saying, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

A Celebration of Life will be held at Roberts Funeral Home, Friday February 24, 2023, at 11 with Pastor Jim Franks officiating. Visitation will be Thursday February 23, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and friends may also call one hour prior to the service.
