Mindy Lee Clevidence was murdered May 20, 1996 in Detroit, Michigan. She was 17 years old. Through the hard work of cold case detectives and The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Mindy was able to be identified this summer.
Mindy was born October 15, 1978 to Gary and Paula {Bartley} Clevidence. Mindy was an energetic beautiful lady. She showed sheep and market steers in 4-H, earned many Awana Scripture badges at First Baptist Church in Ashland, loved sketching, writing poetry, singing, and dancing. She attended Loudonville High School.
Mindy is survived by her mother Paula; sisters Michelle (Daniel) Persinger of Copley, and Anna Coker of Oxnard, CA; nephews Dylan (Ashley) Persinger, Robert Persinger; nieces Katelyn (Ian) Richardson, Kira Smith, and Hailey Persinger; great-nephew Emmitt Richardson; great-nieces Quinn Richardson, Kiyah Langston, and Willow Persinger; uncles Leslie Clevidence, Richard Clevidence, Tim (Kerin) Clevidence, and Daniel (Kim) Bartley; aunts Jennifer (Kevin) Hicks and Barbara (Craig) Conrad; and many cousins.
Mindy was preceded in death by her father Gary, sister Joni Clevidence, uncles Glen Clevidence, James Bartley, and Patrick Bartley, aunts Janet Blunt, Sue Metz, and Cathleen Bartley, grandparents Robert and Jenny Clevidence, Stanley Bartley, and Ruth Harbaugh, and cousins Christy Rickard and Jeremy Bartley.
