Nancy Diane Rowley

Nancy Diane Rowley, 71, of Wooster, died Thursday, December 8, 2022, at
Wooster Community Hospital.
Arrangements are held by Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.

Nancy was born January 4, 1951, in Galion, OH to James and Margaret
{Silver} Elder.

Nancy received her Bachelors of Science in Biology from The College of
Charleston, Charleston SC. She worked in the Entomology Lab at the Ohio
State University ATI for several years.

She was married to James R. Rowley, who died January 15, 2008.

She enjoyed volunteering at Fredericksburg Library, playing WordSearch
with friends, cross stitching, painting, playing the piano, and just reading a
good book (be it a murder mystery or trigonometry). A lover and sharer of
knowledge, she coded several computer programs to teach math concepts to
her then young son, and instilled a lifelong love and curiosity of the natural
world.

Nancy will be deeply missed by her son Dr. Erik (Lucy) Rowley PhD;
brothers Rick (Robin) Elder and John (Laura) Elder.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Bob.
