Nancy Diane (Curren) Schaffer of Jeromesville passed away peacefully surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchild Sunday September 21, 2014. She was met at Heavens door by her husband of 40 years. They are forever together in eternity.
Nancy was born on April 18, 1937 to Clarence Edward and Charlotte Thelma (Martin) Curren in Holmesville, Ohio.
She is survived by three sons, Jeff A. Wolf, Jerry R. Wolf and John M. Schaffer all of Jeromesville. Five daughters, Debbie J. (Stacy) Hange of Jeromeville, Shelley J. Hootman of Loudonville, Terri L. Ranstedt of IN, Darlene Carpenter of NC and Rebekah L. Schaffer of Jeromesville. 19 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Jerry and Bill Curren both of Wooster. Several nieces & nephews. "A very special sister from another mother," Betty Windsor of Hayesville.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband John L. Schaffer, two brothers, three sisters, one daughter in-law and one grandson.
Nancy's greatest joy was making sure you never left the farm without eating.
At her request there will be no calling hours or services. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, which will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio at 1050 Dauch Dr., Ashland, OH 44805, in memory of Nancy and John for a tree where children can play, run and laugh. Roberts Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
