Nancy Lee Spencer, 78, of Wooster died Friday, April 26, 2013 at her home with her family by her side.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Roberts Funeral Home – Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be Monday at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Ken Thomas officiating. Nancy was born January 23, 1935 in Philipsburg, PA, the daughter of Philip and Margaret {Hemmis} Thomas. She married Kenneth Spencer on October 9, 1955; he survives.
After working for Rubbermaid until 1965, she left to raise her children.
She was a member of the First Church of God and was past president of both the VFW Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed collecting angels and glass collies, traveling, and playing games.
Nancy will be deeply missed her husband Ken, children Ronald Spencer of Wooster, Linda (Paul) Brink of Irvona, PA, Lee (Mary) Spencer of Wooster; grandchildren Joshua, David, Nic, Sam, Brandi & Willow Spencer; Ken and Christy Brink; great-grandchildren Aunaliese Miller, Keegan Spencer, Bryson Spencer, Sydney Brink, Abby & Haley; sisters Betty Danner of Ashville, SC and Katherine (Wayne) Regard, brother Earl (Judy) Hanes all of St. Mary, PA.
Nancy was preceded in death by her son James Kenneth Spencer, several brothers and a sister.
