Nedra Ann Hiller, 88, of Polk, left to spend eternity with her husband, John, Friday, February 1, 2019 at her home.
She was born October 20, 1930 in Big Prairie to Harrison Sullivan and Freda Margarete {Sloan} Pennell.
Nedra married John K. Hiller on May 9, 1951. He passed away on June 5, 2001.
She spent her life making a welcoming home for family and friends. Nedra was a member of Garber Brethren Church, and volunteered with the American Legion Auxiliary. She spent many years on the dairy farm, as John’s right hand woman.
She will be deeply missed by her children Peggy (Jerry) Martin of Ashland, Earl W. (Becky) Hiller of Nova, Johnette (Ted) Gibbs of Ashland, Wanda (Marvin) Kirkpatrick of Ashland, and Jack (Kim) Hiller of Ashland; 21 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; many nieces and nephews.
Nedra was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandchildren Heather and Wes Harding, siblings Kathryn (John) Hudson, Geneva (Ed) Johnson, Harry (Mildred) Pennell, Emerson (Helen) Pennell, Zelma (Jim) Tate, Naomi (Bill) Butts, and Audra (Paul) Stout, and son-in-law Warren E. Long.
Friends may call Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Doug Olsen officiating. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s charity of choice.
The family would like to thank Nedra’s caregivers, including those from Pathways Hospice, Sunshine Home Healthcare, and the Amish community. Your compassion and support has been overwhelming and dearly appreciated.
