Norma Davis

Norma Jean “Jeannie” Davis, 79, of Ashland, died Monday August 23, 2021 at University Hospital, in Westlake.

Jeannie was born May 4, 1942, in New Cumberland, West Virginia to Albert and Emma {Hicks} Walker.

Jeannie graduated from Beaver Local High School in 1960.

She married Robert Davis on November 10, 1962. He passed away January 27, 2010.  Jeannie spent 33 loving years with Arthur Poland, who passed on June 8, 2016.

Jeannie worked for over twenty years at Ashland University.  Earlier she worked at Myers Laundry Services, where she met Arthur. She was a member of Southview Brethren Church.  Jeannie loved to crochet, bake, and help family and friends. She always put others needs in front of her own.

Jeannie will be deeply missed by her daughters Diane (Marty) Stets, Pamela Yeager, and Kimberly (William) Plues; step-children Chip (Jane) Poland, and Sherri Strine; grandchildren Kayla (Brian) Danko, Emily (Steven) Ferullo, Keaten Howe, Lynsey Plues, and Landon Plues; step-grandchildren Matthew, Courtney, Sonja, Cari, Tara, Breanna, and Maggie; several step-great-grandchildren; brothers Ronnie Walker, and Daniel (Marilyn) Walker; many nieces, nephews, and cousins

Jeannie was preceded in death by the love of her life Art; brothers William Walker, Blair Walker; and sister Grace Cornell.
